Alex Robinson from the blog Too Long in This Place (well she lives in NZ so who can blame her for that title;-) was a guest on Andras Jones' new sync podcast Synchronize which was about synchronicityJackie ROBINSON Day, the movie 42 and the Boston Marathon bombings
Syncing Well
Andras asked Alex to pick an 8-Ball song and she came up with the J Geils Band song Ain't Nothing But a House Party.
Alex took the cold outside part of the lyrics on board.
42 Below is pretty damn cold;-)
What they didn't realize at the time of the podcast was that Chrissy Amphlett the lead singer of the Divinyls would pass away the same day the podcast aired.
Andras Jones
Chrissy was 53 (8) when she passed.

Chrissy wrote the song Back to the Wallwhich was used for Andras' movie Nightmare on Elm Street 4.

You can see Andras and Chrissy in the same clip in the link above or You Tube below.
If you listen to the lyrics of Back to the Wall in relation to the
Boston bombings it will knock your sox off, pardon the pun;-)
Now the funny thing here also is, that the writer of 42Brian Helgeland also wrote Nightmare on Elm Street 4.
In fact, it was his first Hollywood movie.

And also, The Order (AKA The Sin Eater) starring Heath Ledger.
Ledger plays Alex in that movie, too;-)
You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.
And here's Jake Kotze's latest film Armed With a Dream -

  1. Ok, I'm exhausted. How do you find all this stuff, Daz? I thought my daughter knew everything there was about movies, but you've got her beat by a long shot.

  2. Like Trish I wonder how you manage to collate so much - an encyclopedia knowledge or lots of graft?
