Live In Space, Not Time

I'm a subscriber to an Australian magazine called
Veritas Magazine, which I find has some really good articles within its pages.
I generally take magazines like these to work and read them in my breaks, since I usually read novels and the like at home.
Yesterday I was reading the above article,
Things I've Learned from the Spiritual Masters
written by Dr. Steve McSwain.
I got to the part of the article called Live in Space, Not Time
(see above photo) where Dr. McSwain asks,
"What is it that comprises most of what is around you and me?"
And being piped over the store PA system was Whitney Houston's song I Have Nothing.
And it got to the part where she sings the word Nothing three times in succession ... which just happened to be
the answer to Dr. McSwain's question that I was reading at that exact moment.
It was a complete dovetailing of the two different events.
I had just read the question, and Whitney supplied the answer,
not once, but three times, to ram home, it seems, the message to me.
There was also an article by James Redfield, and while I'm not a big fan of his books he does play a significant synchronistic role in my life for some reason.
The Twelfth Insight”?
So, it was interesting that James had an article in a magazine that would deliver me a great unforgettable sync.
I thought that it was also interesting that Dr. McSwain was the designer of a pendant that I greatly admire and that I have wanted to buy for some time, but have never gotten around to buying.

Scott Alexander King talks about 'Animal Dreaming'

Scott's Animal Dreaming Card - Number 40
The pole that was outside my house when I moved in
My house number - 40.
Two blogger's I follow put up stories which reminded me of  my meeting Scott Alexander King at the Byron Bay Writers Festival in 2011.

Mike Clelland's post Owls and Following the Shamanic Process
and Mike Perry's post
The Woman Who Communicates With Animals
This is odd, this You Tube of Pea Horsley (above), a woman I had never heard of before, was in the sidebar of Scott's You Tube.
Scott's cards and books, to me are wonderful gifts, but give one to yourself first;- )

Here's a You Tube of a young lady giving a review ... sort of ... of Scott's book Animal Dreaming.
I can vouch for her sentiments on Scott ... he is a good sincere bloke.

SE ... or Synchronistic Event Surprise

Having just listened to all the You Tubes in the post on Dr Kirby Surpise's book Synchronicity, I decided to pick up his book and just open it to a random page.
Dr Kirby Surprise on Synchronicity
He has what he calls "synchronistic events" highlights scattered throughout the book and on the page I opened 178, he had this -
"My daughter and her friend Rose are here for a visit.
Rose has been reading one of the final versions of this book.
She is here to tell me that she has been testing the model by making SEs about Australia appear around her.
She says her mind is being blown because the universe appears to react to her thoughts.
She is having a lot of SEs about Australia and Australians.
She picked the subject because it was unlikely to appear much around her, until now.
I remind her that the effect is produced by her own thought-forms."
I swear on my life that I am not making this up.
For those that may not be aware I'm an Australian who lives just outside Brisbane, in South East Queensland, Australia.
But Dr Kirby, how does that explain my thought-forms?
As I was just flipping open the book to see if I would be SurprisEd ... so to speak:-)
I must say that your book may be a better read than I was anticipating?
Greetings from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Bored Games?

I once clipped this cartoon out of the paper and had it in a frame on my desk, but it started fading so I snapped a picture of it so I could download it onto my computer.
The above "Monotony" design was a t-shirt/fridge magnet design I once created from a mash-up of images.
I guess these games could be titled
"The Game of Life and How Not to Play It".
But speaking of The Game of Life and How to Play It,
I found these You Tube audio's of Shinn's famous book which I first read years ago and quite liked.
I've posted the first 3 chapters, but you can find them all on
You Tube if you want to hear more.
She uses a Christian slant, talking about Jesus, and while I'm not really into Christian material,  you have to remember the time period that Shinn wrote the book in.

Dr Kirby Surprise on Synchronicity

A talk by Dr Kirby Surprise on his view
(which is not my view, by the way) on Synchronicity.
Which I still think is worth a listen, even though I don't agree with his overall viewpoint.
I did buy his book, although I'm yet to read it.
Had I have listened to this podcast first though I don't think I would have bothered ordering it, but it is good to get different viewpoints from your own, I suppose.
The above interview with Surprise begins at about the 21st minute.
The above You Tube I found quite interesting, so this is the one I would pick to listen to if you don't have time to listen to them all.

Daniel Johnston Plane Crash Sync

"In 1990, Johnston played at a music festival in Austin, Texas.
On the way back to West Virginia on a small, private plane piloted by his father, Johnston became hypomanic and wrestled control of the plane away from his father removing the key from the ignition and throwing it out of the plane.
His father, a World War Two fighter pilot, managed to successfully crash-land the plane in a wooded area.
Although the plane was destroyed, Johnston and his father emerged unharmed.
As a result of this episode, Johnston was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital."
After the crash Daniel and his father pass a "Church of Christ" sign on a church that read,
"God promises a safe landing, but not a calm voyage".
I've been trying to find a picture on the net of Daniel's father standing in front of this sign, as in the documentary
The Devil and Daniel Johnston, but I haven't been able to find one.
I will get a screen shot from the doco and post it here later, when I get a chance.
Daniel's father standing next to the sign after being taken from the crash site.
Stills from the movie The Devil and Daniel Johnston.
"God promises a safe landing,
but not a calm voyage

The Talent of Daniel Johnston

I just watched the movie The Devil and Daniel Johnston and the above You Tubes are my way of paying a little tribute to Daniel ... not that I made them, I just found them on the net to give readers a listen to a talented, but troubled soul who writes great songs.

Tom Pace/Maybe

Just managed to get a copy of Tom Pace's album
Not In Compliance.

I've been trying to get a secondhand copy on Amazon for a while now, but I finally got the reasonable priced CD I was after.
It's a good album with a song I particularly love Maybe.
I never get sick of this song.
The song Maybe is from an old TV show I used to watch as a kid called The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams.

Is IKEA Selling "Jew" Pillows?

Surely just another coincidence from the giant  Swedish furniture store right???

"The Electric Jesus" Book by Jonathan Talat Phillips

As those who read this blog regularly would know, I have had a lot of synchronicities with blue crosses in the last year, or two.
Now, I must state first off that I am not a Christian in the fundamentalist sense, as I do not like the dogmatic stance of a lot of so called "Christian" churches and organizations.
But there are a lot of good practices embedded in most of these religions including the Catholic Church, it's just some of the dogma that gets to me.
Our Lady of Victories
Catholic Church, Brisbane
I came across The Electric Jesus by accident, and so far it is an enlightening read.
It's amazing where these electric blue crosses have been turning up for me.
The Grey/The Grays and the Triad
The blue cross and other stuff I picked
 up at the
Woodford Folkfest
last year
But this looks like an interesting book to me.

Update: 20th August, 2012
Talking about blue crosses, I watched the movie Nacho Libre the other day and while I probably wouldn't recommend it as a great film, I was amused to find another blue cross in this film also.
I probably would never have watched it if it wasn't on a five set movie package which I purchased for the two movies
Wayne's World and Without A Paddle.
I really liked this song which was playing over the credits at the beginning of this movie called I Am, I Am.
I just wish it said spiritual instead of religious man.
But I can live with it.
I also thought it was funny when I found two of my favourite DVDs sitting next to each other saying "I Am" "The Way".

Am 1 The Prisoner?

"Who are you?
1 am the new number 2.
Who is number
1?
You are number 6."
Looks like 1 am a number after all;-)
Insight?
1've been watching the 1967 TV show The Prisoner on DVD.
1 am about half way through the series, but 1 did cheat by watching the last episode Fall Out, where number 6 escapes off the island.
It's a quirky show and can become a bit annoying with it's almost Groundhog Day
 repetitiveness.
(What time does the clock start every morning in Groundhog Day?
6 o'clock!)
In The Prisoner, the show always starts off with number 6 greeting a TV screen with the almost always new number 2 and this back and forth dialogue between 6 and 2,"Who are you? 1 am the new number 2. Who is number 1? You are number 6."
Which is cryptically giving the game away, because in the last episode we see that number 6 is also number 1.
And probably number 2 as well.
The movie Bronson also eludes to this theme in the end of the movie where a prison guard who uncannily looks like Bronson locks Bronson's cell door from the inside, more or less stating that Bronson is really his own jailer in effect.
Bronson is played by Tom Hardy who also plays Bane in the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises
Bane is also a prisoner, but manages to escape his prison and unleash Bronson's tantrums on to the world.
Ironically, Batman is also a prisoner in this film and makes many attempts to escape.
This is a picture of 1 of the forklifts
 1 actually drove.
1've written previously about my Charles Bronson dream -
Look At All The Happy Creatures:-(
"1 dreamed that 1 was driving a forklift, like the one 1 drive at work, on a narrow ledge about 40 stories high in the air, and
Charles Bronson was doing mickey flips off my raised forks and landing back on them, while 1 was almost frozen in terror by the height, and this guy's death-wish (for want of a better word;-)"
 and my blue car dream;
Blue Cars Too
Green Volkswagen on the Synchronicity Roundabout
"1 had a very vivid dream, where 1 was being pushed up a hill in a pale sky blue
(very close to this background colour on which this blog is written)
toy car by my dead Father-in law, but 1 was an adult like 1 am now.
And 1 had to sit on the boot with my legs astride the doors, as 1 was too big.
He pushed me up the hill, and then 1 coasted down the hill, by myself, and into a house, which in the dream 1 believed to be mine and my family's, but isn't in our real life."
On the subject of number 2, 1 wrote this post just over a year ago,
Freedom From The "Inside Out"???
1 also wrote about The Prisoner TV show appearing as an article in The Gnostic 2 in this post,
Nothing But a Number?
