The Red-Eyed Green Tree Frog Symbolism

Red-Eyed Tree Frog Facts
This little frog has become quite a synchro symbol for me since writing this post on my blog back in July, 2011.
The Green Frog With The Red Eyes
I started having really strange syncs in my life with green frogs from that point on right through till today.

Universal Placebos - Nothing Works Better
I've had my run in with normal green tree frogs (without red eyes) but of course we don't have green frogs with red eyes native to Australia, so it's a bit hard to bump into one of them in the flesh where I'm living.
But the other day while flicking through a science magazine, which has inspired my recent posts about rainbows, Moths verses Butterflies and The Luck Factor, I came across this little piece of information about the Red-Eyed Green Tree Frog, and it clicked why the red eyes were an important factor for me personally.
The red eyes help them to see in the dark.
So the difference between normal green tree frogs and the frogs with the red eyes is a similar difference between the moth and the butterfly -
Moth Verses Butterfly Symbolism
Hold on!!!
"Our Frog is the red-eyed green tree frog within this deck but this card represents ALL FROGS not just the one we have chosen to depict for the book and card set.
Our frog card has the keywords of Cleansing, Emotional Healing, Tears, Window of Soul, Well-being and New growth around it.
The Card number is 11 being the numerology also of number eleven as we do not break this number down as it is a Master Number and stays as eleven.
In systems such as Astrology and basic Numerology, eleven is considered to be a Master Number.

Eleven can also represent sin; transgression and peril.
Ten being the perfect number, eleven represents the exceeding of both.
It is interesting to note that eleven when broken down ( 1+1=2)
comprises the Two of duality.
Eleven bring the gift of spiritual inheritance, is gifted as the "Light-Bearer".

It is the number of the Light within all.
Strengthened by the love of Peace, gentleness, sensitivity and insight.
Greatest facility is the awareness of Universal relationship.
Is related to the energy of Oppositions and the Balancing needed in order to achieve synthesis. Eleven is The Peace-Maker...
Colours : Gold, Salmon, Prune, White and Black.
The Rune symbol depicted on our Frog is the rune of ‘Inguz’ for the end of a cycle of events to bring about new beginnings.
The Rune of fertility and the intuitive part of our nature.
The harbinger of a new path.
This is a rune of great power and signals your emergence from a closed chrysalis state.
You will experience a release from tensions, stress and your uncertainties.
Our Frog is depicted sitting on a branch with the full moon in the background of deep midnight blue.

Frog is allowing the tears to fall and the cleansing process has began.
Our tears cleanse our soul and our eyes are the windows to our soul.
Your symbol of renewal is at hand and new growth and well-being is assured.
Frog is one of our ‘Master’ cards and has the symbol placed in the top right-hand corner "

Frogs are also a symbol of transformation like the butterfly.
The Message
"If frog has called to you, ‘Spirit’ is reminding you that it is OK to allow the tears to flow.
Allow yourself the time to cleanse and renew.
You may need to look at your life in an honest way and ask yourself if you are heading in the right direction.
Do you need to make a slight change in your path?
Know that you will feel refreshed and new growth is coming your way."

Animal Symbolism: Meaning of the Frog

Update: 11th Dec, 2012
I was thinking of getting rid of this feng shui "lucky" toad that I've had for years near where I keep my wallet, but I was reading a book called, "Your Money Or Your Life"
and came across this passage -
"Our jobs are also called upon to provide the exhilaration of romance and the depths of love.
It's as though we believed that there is a "Job Charming" out there -
like the Prince Charming in fairy tales -
that will fill our needs and inspire us to greatness.
We've come to believe that through this job, we would somehow have it all:
status, meaning, adventure, travel, luxury, respect, power, tough challenges and fantastic rewards.
All we need is to find Mr. or Ms. Right Job.
Perhaps what keeps some of us stuck in the home/freeway/office loop is this very Job Charming illusion.
We're like the princess who keeps kissing toads, hoping one day to find herself hugging a handsome prince.
Our jobs are our toads."
After reading that passage I've decided that the feng shui "lucky" toad stays as a potent reminder of the toads I kiss all the time on my quest for Job Charming;-)

  1. My animal! We saw these red-eyed frogs in costa rica, just as they look in your top photo. At night, these frogs sang like you wouldn't believe. I've never heard such a cacophony. For me, frogs are always about profound transformation.
