Free Thought?! Free Trevor!!

A MONA staged protest to "Free Thought" in 2009
I've been reading The Making of MONA, which I think is a fantastic book, by the way, but being a bit of a bird lover who is opposed to seeing winged creatures in cages, I couldn't help but think how hippo-critical and thoughtless it was that there is a caged bird named Trevor who according to this book "lives on the boat" that ferries people to MONA from the Hobart city centre
Free Trevor ... or at least change
his name to "Thought"
;-)
Where you can stick your
"free thought" stickers?
Here is an idea for an art installation.
Dress one of the crew members of the MONA ROMA up as an angel and put them in a cage to talk to the passengers, as they party on up the river and maybe name that angel "Thought"
Maybe even have a sign on the cage saying, "a penny for your thoughts".
Or maybe even name the angel "Penny" just to make people think a little more about the "penny for your thoughts" thing?

Angel in a cage
Next time I come to visit MONA I'll be taking the boat instead of driving and I'll have a packet of birdseed for Trevor, with a file in it.

Free Thought!
Get out your hot pink and black pens
 for a bit of
art therapy.
Yeah. Free Trevor!
Just a few of my free thoughts about MONA ... which is a great place to visit ... unless you are a bird named Trevor, that is;-)
But if birds were meant to be free, I guess God wouldn't have made cages for them, right?-)
