The Danse Macabre of King, Kubrick and George A. Romero

July 16th?!
"Danse Macabre is a 1981 non-fiction book by Stephen King, about horror fiction in print, radio, film and comics, and the influence of contemporary societal fears and anxieties on the genre.
It was republished on February 23, 2010, with an additional new essay entitled "What's Scary".
Danse Macabre
examines the various influences on King's own writing, and important genre texts of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Danse Macabre explores the history of the genre as far back as the Victorian era, but primarily focuses on the 1950s to the 1970s (roughly the era covering King's own life at the time of publication).
King peppers his book with informal academic insight, discussing archetypes, important authors, common narrative devices, "the psychology of terror", and his key theory of "Dionysianhorror".
Stephen King's novel The Stand was translated to Spanish language as La Danza de la Muerte
(which means "Dance of Death"), generating confusion between the two books."

Anton Yelchin died:
June 192016 (age 27)
I started writing a post about Anton Yelchin's Synchromystic movie career on July 16th (yesterday Oz time) and mentioned the weird connection between King getting hit by a car on June 19, 1999 and Yelchin dying when his car rolled back on him crushing his chest on June 19th, 2016.
The Deeply Odd Synchromystic Life and Death of Anton Yelchin
One of Anton Yelchin's first movie appearances was in 'Hearts in Atlantis'the movie adapted from the Stephen King novel.
Stanley Kubrick died in 1999 just months before Stephen King got hit by the car.

"King famously disliked Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980), which was adapted from his novel of the same name.
King was opposed to the casting of Jack Nicholson (born on April 22, 1937, that's 4/22/37 BTW;-) who, in his opinion, did not accurately portray the gradual descent into madness that the book had described.
He also lamented that many story elements, some of them autobiographical and important to King, had not been included, such as alcoholism and his father issue.
King therefore produced a miniseries of The Shining (1997) that follows his novel more closely, but is generally regarded as inferior to Kubrick's interpretation.""

One of the things I found out last night when writing that post was that -
"Horror director George A. Romero was one of King's childhood heroes. The two are now close friends."
Passed away on July 16th, 2017?!
"King partly dedicated his book Cell to film director George Romero, and wrote an essay for the Elite DVD version of Night of the Living Dead."
Now today (July 17th on my side of the planet) I see in the news that George Romero has passed away on July 16th, which was the date Stanley Kubrick's last movie 'Eyes Wide Shut' was released at the cinema.
George A Romero, Night of the Living Dead director, dies aged 77
"Sad to hear my favourite collaborator – and good old friend – George Romero has died. George, there will never be another like you," said King.

I try to keep my eyes wide open when it comes to the world around me, but it's not easy;-)
George Romero died July 16th, 2017
I saw that Martin Landau from the TV show 'Space 1999' passed away on July 15th, 2017 (which probably would have been July 16th over here in Australia, since we are nearly a day ahead of the USA).
Oddly, Martin shared his birthday of June 20th with Nicole Kidman and as I said above 1999 was the year Stanley Kubrick passed away and Stephen King was hit by a car.
