Isle of Dogs/I Love Dogs?

I went and saw the movie 'Isle of Dogs' at the cinema on Tuesday night and I liked it even though I'm a cat person and cat people weren't portrayed in a very good light in the movie.
But what would you expect from those dog-loving people who made the movie anyway, right?-)
Meeeeooow!
But I thought it was rather synchronistic that I see the next morning that the Queen of England had to put down her last corgi the week the film was released.
The Queen’s last remaining corgi dies leaving her devastated
"Sources told the Daily Mail that the Queen has been hit ‘extremely hard’ by the death of Willow, who was 14.
It marks the end of a chapter in Royal history as she no longer owns any corgis – though she does have two dorgis, corgi-dachsund crosses named Vulcan and Candy.
A Buckingham Palace source said: ‘She has mourned every one of her corgis over the years, but she has been more upset about Willow’s death than any of them.
‘It is probably because Willow was the last link to her parents and a pastime that goes back to her own childhood."
I wouldn't recommend taking the Queen to see this movie as a way of cheering her up then, because the movie bizarrely mirrors some of the Queen's own story here when it comes to her dog.
The Queen also turns 92 on April 21st, so it may not be such a happy birthday for her this year without her dog to help celebrate the occasion.
The five main dogs, Chief, Rex, King, Duke and Boss, all have names that mean some kind of "leader", too, while on the subject of the Queen and her dogs.
And there is an area in London, Englandcalled "Isle Of Dogs" situated in east London.
So you might say these dogs have their eyes wide shut when it comes to some colours of the spectrum.
I wonder if they can see purple though?-)
I'm not a fan of most Wes Anderson movies, but I did like this one and would gladly see it again.
I noticed also that Wes was born on May Day in Houston in 1969, so let's hope that's not a bad omen or problem for the future somehow.
And according to the movie's IMDB web-page 'Isle of Dogs' was released on Friday the 13th in the USA
Not to mention in the Year of the Dog also.
The main dog Chief is a black dog (for most of the movie anyway;-), so I don't know if the same superstition would apply to a black dog as to a black cat on a Friday the 13th.
But let's hope not hey?
Not that I have any fear of black cats.
Harry Anderson, 27 and Imaginary Rabbit Holes?
And SPOILER ALERT,
"The scene in which Chief is given a bath and comes out with a completely different appearance is an homage to the picture book "Harry The Dirty Dog", in which children "find" their lost dog by giving a bath to what they think is a stray.
Chief even has similar markings to Harry."
Oh, and I forgot to mention that there is a black owl who gets a fair share of screen time compared to any one cat in the movie.
So, that should please owl persons like Mike Clelland who are into owls and give a hoot for these creepy birds.
Personally when it comes to owls (or dogs;-) I say WHO cares?-)
